I was commissioned to photograph the interior of Yard & Coop on Hanover Street, a new 200-seat restaurant in Liverpool city centre which specialises in buttermilk fried chicken. The stunning and unique design made this a particularly enjoyable job to carry out.
It has a variety of seating areas, including uniquely themed chicken coops and a great bar area – the “Yard” being the bar and the “Coop” being the dining area. Several local artists were commissioned to complement the interior with original artwork focusing on the brand’s identity and popular fox character. Inside, a huge tree is situated at the entrance to the restaurant, creating the illusion of dining in the fox’s den within its roots.
