I was commissioned at very short notice to produce some “product shots” of a PC for CMS Computers. And, when I say “short notice”, I really mean it! I received the phone call and within half an hour, I was setting my camera up and ready to start the shoot!
Often, there is a particularly tight time-scale to work to and a job like this is typical. The client had produced a new desktop PC and had interest from a major national retailer who required images and final specifications before confirming a large order. Time really was of the essence and there was only a few hours window in which to complete the shoot, edit the images and transfer them to the client.
Obviously, I had a style brief from the client, so that the images would be as close a match as possible to his existing portfolio of product shots. The images needed to show the PCs in a crisp and clear way and be set against a flat white background.
