On a bright (but breezy!) Friday afternoon on Ladies’ Day at the Grand National Race Meeting, the press turned their attention from the main event to the 2015 Aintree Style Awards.
The award was judged by champion jockey Katie Walsh, Anfield singer Rebecca Ferguson and Liverpool One’s style blogger Jade Fung, who awarded the best dressed crown to Toni Salters (seen above, being interviewed by Radio City). She received her prize of a new Mini Roadster, courtesy of Aintree Racecourse and a £6,000 prize package courtesy of Liverpool One, from Channel 4’s fashion guru Gok Wan.
Runners up included Emma Garvican, from Nottingham and Jennifer Abdelaty, from Northwich.
John Baker, Aintree and North West regional director for the Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “Ladies Day at The Grand National is always one of the most stylish and fabulous days in the racing calendar and this year has been no different.
“Over the past eight months we’ve tried to engage and enthuse women and men, both locally and all around the UK, through our #FabulousFriday campaign and bring Ladies Day back to the heart of the Festival.”
